Finland 2016

Last year, in July, we had an one week vacation...
We wanted to spend our vacation in nature near the blue lakes, moving along forest roads by bicycles.
But there are very few clean and quiet places in Russia...

My wife's co-workers gave advice to spend a vacation in the "country of thousands of lakes" - Finland.
And to be more precise, in the south-eastern part of Finland, on the shore of Lake Saimaa.

Here, next to the lakes, there are very good facilities for tourists and rest...
A lot of campings and lodges are located on the shore of lakes, where you can have a great time.
You can ride bicycles, walk along picturesque trails, sunbathe and swim in clear water.
There are a lot of mushrooms and berries in the forest and there are a lot of fish in the lakes.
You can visit to museums, castles and festivals in the cities of Imatra, Lappeenranta, Savonlinna, Mikkeli, Varkaus and Joensuu and learn a lot of interesting things about people's lives in this part of Finland.

It was great, so we connected to the administration of the camping, booked accommodation, dropped our things and bicycles into the car and left the house early in the morning.
We were driving to the blue lakes of Finland!
