San Francisco

September 21, 2014. Sunday.
We spent the night in the "Motel 6" in Manteca, CA.
And in the morning we stopped at the truck stop "Flying J" in the city of Lodi, CA.
We refueled the car and had breakfast.

Our way was to San Francisco, by the highways 12, 80, 37 and 101.

The mountains are left behind, serpentines ended, we drove on the road among fields...

We saw beautiful bridges...

We saw the wind generators...

Early on Sunday morning, traffic on HWY 12 was not very intense, and an hour drive through the fields, near the small towns, we were on HWY 80.

In fact, the HWY 80 should be called "Interstate", that is the road that crosses America from east to west, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.

The hills or mountains appeared ahead and the weather turned bad.

The sun disappeared, the autumn clouds appeared.
And although we have not yet felt the smell of the ocean, it was very cold.
We were approaching the coast and San Francisco...

San Francisco - a city in the state of California, named after a Catholic saint.
In 1776, the Spanish conquerors built a fort on the coast and founded the mission.
In 1848 the mission was renamed San Francisco.
San Francisco - a world tourist center, known for its bridges, steep hills and a combination of Victorian and modern architecture.

Weather in San Francisco is very different from the weather in Los Angeles.
The ocean has a much greater impact here: more rain, cloudy, misty and cold days.

But real tourists are not afraid of bad weather.
We also decided not to be upset, and execute our plan.
