Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend Overlook - lookout area from which you can see the rock resembling a horse shoe, on the Colorado River.
Horseshoe Bend is located about 4 miles southwest of Page, near HWY 89.
The 10 minutes by car from the town of Page.

Of course, we decided to look at the "Horseshoe Bend".
So, after a trip by the Colorado River, we drove to the Horseshoe Bend Overlook.

The dusty parking lot is on the right side of the highway and is visible from afar.
The trail begins near the parking in the desert, the road gradually climbs uphill.
The Ranger-Lady checked the shoes, the availability of water and told us about the temperature of the air.

The sun shined in the blue sky, the air and the sand were hot, was very hot.
Lookout area is accessible via 1,2 km a hiking trip under the scorching sun.

Horseshoe Bend can be viewed from the steep cliff.
Tourists jumped over rocks, trying to find the best place for photos.

However, a lot of good places here, so "Horseshoe Bend" was visible from any cliff almost equally.

We looked at the green water of the Colorado River and thought that we were there a few hours ago.

You look at Horseshoe Bend 5 - 10 minutes but memorize forever.
We looked at the canyon, drank of water in the pavilion and walked to the car.
