So, we spent the first night on the bank of the "Havasu Creek", in our tent.
We were very tired yesterday, so we slept well, under the quiet whisper of the stream.
Although it was early morning, but it was hot.
Our tent was right near the water, in the shade of trees.
The vegetation was very dense at the creek, the trees created a shadow and a gloom.
It is a sun protection.
We were going to go down to the waterfall "Havasu Falls", which we saw yesterday, going on the road to the campground.
But at breakfast, my wife offered to first look the campground...
The Campground was stretched along the creek at the 800 meters.
Tents were on both banks of the creek, which were connected by bridges.
The tent of staff is located near the entrance to the campsite, you can buy a bread and a water.
You can buy other products in the village of Supai only.
But guys do not often buy the water, since all use a water from a spring, right at the campground.
We also filled a bottle from a spring, and then we decided to walk across the camping, along the creek...
We enjoyed the water of blue and green color, but some tourists overtook of us.
I wonder, where are they going?
The camp ended, the creek ran away and we were near a cliff...
Tourists who were ahead of us, stood on the edge of the cliff.
We came to the edge and...saw the waterfall!...
We went down by a narrow trail...
Then we entered the cave and came out on the edge of the cliff.
The path ended.
You can go down the cliff, only with the help of chains.
Oh my God, it was a waterfall "Mooney Falls"!
The "Mooney Falls" is the highest of 5 waterfalls "Havasu Falls".
The height of the waterfall - 60 meters, 7 meters higher than the Niagara Falls.
We collected information about the waterfall and we were aware of the difficult descent on a steep wall, but everything turned out so suddenly...
We were standing at the edge of a cliff at a height of 64 meters and we had a descent on the chains.
The chains were rusty and wet, but we went down successfully and were shocked by what we saw.
The turquoise water shone in the sun and the spray flew at the hundreds of meters.
We dropped a wet T-shirt and shorts and rushed to the waterfall.
You can not stand in the stream of falling water, because it is a very powerful waterfall.
But you can swim a little further, near the cascades-rapids.
Well, there are many of water rapids here.
The creek flows near the rocks, between the trees, breaking through the stones.
A nature has created a real "Lost World" here.
Let's walk a little by the creek.
The creek expands and contracts, it flows calmly and rages among the rocks...
If you will go 5 km by the flow of the creek, you will come to the waterfalls "Beaver Falls".
The Havasu Creek flows into the Colorado River at 6 km after the waterfall "Beaver Falls".
The road will be difficult, you need to go on water, move from one bank to another and jump over the stones.
So, we gave up a walk to "Beaver Falls" today and returned to "Mooney Falls", which can be seen and heard from afar...
We spent the whole day in a wonderful oasis near the waterfall.
We had climbed up at the chains and returned to the camp in the evening only.
It was summer and was not dark in the evening.
We rested, ate, but not sleepy.
We sat near the creek and talked about the waterfall.
"How does the creek turns into a waterfall"? - wife asked...
"Let's watch"? - I replied.
At the end of camp, we crossed the creek...
And we were on a small area...
Next to us, the stream "Havasu Creek" falls down into a canyon from 60 meter height.
The cliffs near the stream were with growths.
The nature can easily create and can easily destroy.
During heavy rains, the turquoise creek loses its color, it becomes dirty and cloudy.
A mud flows down, dries and forms the growths.
We looked down at the beautiful valley that was created by the nature.
Somewhere far away in the canyon, the waterfall "Beaver Falls" falls down and the Colorado River flows..
