The Yellowstone National Park is located in the state of Wyoming.
It was founded in 1872.
The park is enormous - almost 9,000 square kilometers.
*Yellowstone National Park*

Yellowstone

It is clear that you can not fully see the whole park...
Therefore the asphalt road in the form of the number "8", the length of 255 km has been built for visitors in the park.
If you'll move along it, you'll get an overview of the "Yellowstone".

Yellowstone

There are many interesting things here...
The National Park is famous for the numerous geysers, its lakes, rivers, canyons, and forests.
The park has 290 waterfalls higher than 4.5 meters, while the highest - the Lower Falls on the Yellowstone River, 94 meters.
The Yellowstone Lake is located in a huge crater of the "sleeping" volcano and a large part of the park is covered with a solidified lava.

Yellowstone

But of course, tourists come to the park to see the geysers.
There are about 3 thousand geysers in the парк.
Also, there are 10,000 hot springs.

Yellowstone

The fauna is very diverse in the park.
Bisons, bears, deers, elks, wolves live here

Yellowstone

The visitors - the tourists can live or in the park or in small towns near the park.
There are hotels, shops, information centers, gas stations, restaurants, and camping in the tourist villages.
But in a season, the demand for a housing is huge but the prices are not small.
And visitors choose campgrounds...
The some of campgrounds offer to book a place, the some operate on the principle: "first come - first service".

Yellowstone

It was all the information that was known to us before the trip.
And a plus the map of the park.

Yellowstone

We were not going to spend the nights in hotels, we booked two nights at the campgrounds.
The first - at the campground, at the entrance to the park from the south, and the second - at the campground, at the exit of the park from the west.

Yellowstone - Campgrounds

The Yellowstone National Park impressed us from the first minute and we have loved it.
I can not find words to describe the beauty of those places.
A blue lake with orange tongues of the hot springs, meadows, waterfalls, canyons, rivers, geysers, mountains and forests.
And all it - Yellowstone!

Yellowstone

The park became an unexpected diamond in the collection of our trip...
